It's a fascinating thing to view the world through the mind of a first grader.
Here are some of my favorites. This is Owen's take on our Spring Break trip to Phoenix:
"arizona foenix
It has a pool. It has Yogurtland.
It has in-out. I love that place.
We went in a hotel."
He appreciates the important things in life.
Here is what Owen wrote about Teo:
"My brother is Teo he is only 4. He is funny too. every time I do a bunch of nice things He says I love Owen in a funny way. He is not in kindrgarten yet. My mom will not let him go to preeschool. We both have Pokemon cards. We both have cars. He loves cars. He loves Pokemon cards. I love Pokemon cards."
I enjoyed this insight into how Owen sees his brother. They don't always get along, but their relationship can be so sweet and tender if you catch them in the right moment.
I also loved Owen's take on Christmas:
You can see Steve and I sitting on the couch, supervising the activities. Teo says "Asome brother" and Owen says "me Asome." Yep, pretty much the perfect Christmas.
Here is a timeline of Owen's life:
1 year old: I croled (crawled)
2 years old: I lerned how to wok
3 years old: I lerned how to tok
4 years old: seled pumpkin pie ("selled pumpkin pie" - Owen helped us give pumpkin pie to Colorado College students during our Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie & Hot Apple Cider Study Break outreach.)
5 years old: We whent to long Beach
6 years old: first day of first grade
And that pretty much sums up Owen's take on his life thus far.
Love this!
