This isn't a baking blog or a ministry blog (but I'll talk about those), and it's not a gardening blog (goodness, no). This is just a blog about anything, and maybe everything, that I'm thinking about right now.

Good-bye Alligator Hands!

Just the other day I grabbed Teo for a snuggle, caressing his face with my hand, and he said "Ow!"  I asked him what hurt, thinking he must be crazy, but he told me quite sanely that my hands were scratchy.

Well, there's no arguing with the truth of that.  My hands are like alligator hands.  (What does that even mean?  Well, I bet you can figure out what I mean by that.)  Living in Colorado wreaks havoc with my skin, leaving it rough and scratchy, and doing dishes and biting my nails really don't help either.

I decided that it was time to try to remedy my Alligator Hand Syndrome.

As I mentioned yesterday, I had much success with one of my new favorite products (Thanks, Olay), which has made the skin on my face so soft to the touch.  Surely, I thought, there is something that can do that for my hands.

So I dug around in my closet-of-junk (do you have one of those?) and found this bottle of Mary Kay Satin Hands hand cream that a friend gave me a little while ago.

I love this stuff!  I've been putting it on before bed, and then once or twice throughout the day, and I can really tell a difference.  No more scratchy alligator hands!
